This post is the first of a series to introduce our vendors. I will try not to cover all of their offerings but to focus on key products where we are able to help.

Today we are looking at Gamma Communications Plc. Gamma is a leading network and service provider to the UK, Dutch, Spanish and German business markets and is listed on the AIM market, Customers include HMRC, ING, Schiphol Airport and UK universities.

We think of them as a business-focussed alternative to BT. Typex can act either as a Reseller or as an Agent for Gamma – whatever suits you, the customer.

Gamma’s main offering categories are Unified Communications (UC), Voice, Mobile and Connectivity.

The UC products, branded as Horizon, include Cloud-based PBX and Contact Centre with a full overlay of collaboration tools and Call Recording.

The Voice products include low cost SIP Trunking and Call Management with free calls including to Mobile. There is a full array of resilience options for Inbound and Outbound Call Routing. Conventional Analogue and ISDN lines and minutes are also available for your legacy telecom networks. Gamma takes end-to-end ownership of SIP connectivity questions with the ShoreTel/Mitel Connect and Ingate SBC suite. Microsoft Teams Direct Routing (MTDR) enables free calls, enhanced call control features and carrier grade infrastructure for your MS Teams environment. MTDR is the flexible and cost-effective alternative to Microsoft Calling Plans allowing you to make calls from Teams. (I will cover this in a separate post shortly).

The Mobile products include everything you would expect from the UK’s only business-focussed mobile phone provider – handsets, tariffs, international roaming, etc. – plus an innovative MultiNet option which uses all UK mobile networks for maximum UK coverage.

The Connectivity services include next generation Ethernet (Fibre & EFM), Broadband (FTTC) and fully-managed MPLS-based WAN solutions. For public sector customers Gamma’s interconnect to the JANET network means that separate lines may not be required to use services like SIP Trunks.

If we can help you to look at a cost-effective alternative to your current telecoms suppliers then give us a call.
